Steve Knoche(1964 - 2013)

STEVE KNOCHE Steve Knoche passed from this life on Friday, September 6, 2013. He was born May 27, 1964 in Fontana, CA. His life here ended peacefully at home with his loved ones close by his side: the love of his life Terri Baker, daughter Amber Aguirre, son Jeremy Knoche and son-in-law Renan Aguirre. He is also survived by his parents Ray and Lucy Knoche, brothers and sisters Mark Knoche (wife Pok Cha), Cathy Van Gorden, Jeff Knoche and Karen Schwab (husband Charles). During his lifetime he was blessed with two grandchildren, Gabriel and Madison Aguirre, as well as, many nieces, nephews and too many friends to count. The writing of this passage seems untimely in so many ways. However, for those who simply had the occasion to walk into a room and be met with Steve's wholehearted smile followed by a hug, handshake or even a high-5, he will forever be remembered. He was known for many things, but above all for being a selfless man. His altruistic nature was unwavering and brought comfort to those close to him. Steve's heart had a special place for his children and grandchildren. The happiness they brought to his heart was immeasurable and pure. Together in love with Terri Baker for 12 years he enjoyed everything, but especially the simple pleasures in life. He was, without question, a Grill Master to be reckoned with. He was always more than happy to utilize his culinary skills to bring his family and friends close. When he felt the need to get out of the house, he loved traveling with Terri, Harley Davidsons, and even going to work. For him work was not so much as a job, it was what fed his soul. He was good at what he did, and he had a way of working with others that made everyone feel appreciated and part of something important. With his down-to-earth outlook on life, he continues to remind us to believe that each day is a gift and an opportunity to make someone smile. A sincere thank you is hereby extended to Margaret "Peaches" Oliva. Her care and compassion for Steve in his time of need was of most importance and will always be remembered. With Steve's passing we remind others that his life is one to be celebrated. A quote that would likely bring a smile to his face reads: "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." -Dr. Seuss Memorial contributions can be made in honor of Steve's grandchildren, Madison and Gabriel Aguirre. A college trust fund has been established for them. Anyone wishing to give may make contributions payable to the Knoche Memorial Fund in c/o Terri Baker. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at Meadowview Clubhouse, at 41050 Avenida Verde, Temecula, CA 92591 at Three O'clock, on Saturday, September 21, 2013.
