Bruce Douglas Hotchkiss Jr.

BRUCE DOUGLAS HOTCHKISS, JR. passed away December 16, 2007 in Los Angeles, California at the age of 59 years. Born in Riverside, he lived here all his life, graduating from Norta Vista High School in 1966. He continued his education at RCC receiving his AA degree. Doug married his high school sweetheart, Joyce L. Kemp, March 23, 1969 in Riverside, CA. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam War and received an honorable discharge. Later he became a correctional officer at CIM receiving a medical retirement after 24 years of service. Doug was a member of the Landmark Missionary Baptist Church of Jurupa Valley where he enjoyed studying the Bible and Christian music. He had an interesting gun collection, and he enjoyed camping, traveling, ship cruising and people, he never met a stranger. Doug Hotchkiss is survived by his beloved wife, Joyce. Dear brother of Karen and Albert Hotchkiss. Several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Bruce and Alice Hotchkiss and sister, Allie Kennedy. Family and friends may call Friday, December 28, 2007 from 11 a.m. till service time at 12 p.m. in Akes Family's "Chapel Of The Chimes". Interment will follow in Riverside National Cemetery.
