I am very sorry to hear about the passing of George Blatchford. I was George's neighbor in Friend, Nebraska (We called him by his middle name, Jennings). I moved to Lincoln in 1942, shortly before George and his family moved to California (in 1943). I crossed paths with George only twice since that time, once in 1946 and again in 1964. Sadly, I had not seen or heard from him since that time. Again, I would like to express my condolences to George's family and friends!

Dear Family, your father was a good man and friend to both my Mother, George Ann Leonard and my Uncle. Bob Graham. I was so pleased that I got to see him at my Mom's service...he had that spark that he has always had in spite of ALS. Take care...he will be missed but what a guy!

Everyone will miss George for his honesty, kind heart, straightforward manner, and dry sense of humor. He was truly an inspiration to so many people.

Dear Jeano (and the WHOLE Blatchord family)-It has been way too long not to have seen you and George and now it's too late! That makes me very very sad! But what a guy-what a life-incredible! I won't be with you in person on Friday, but Pat and George will be. But you will all be on my mind and in my heart! Much love, -Bob Neuman
