Edward A. Paulino

1918 - 2015

EDWARD A. PAULINO, age 94, of Riverside, CA, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, July 4, 2015. Born in Philadelphia, PA to Italian immigrants, he was one of 21 children and served in the Army during WWII as a Sgt. with the 83rd Infantry in Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes and Central Europe. After the war, he worked as a supervisor in the seat cover industry for 19 years before being transferred to Riverside, CA to open and manage a plant here. During this time, he met John Verwiel and went to work for him at Red-I-Camp until his retirement in 1981. He enjoyed his family, traveling, casinos, and woodworking with his good friend John making fine furniture. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth and many sisters and brothers, He is survived by his children, Barbara Tibbetts (Jerry) of Ontario, CA, Linda Cerchia (Don) and Margie Shamblin (Doug), both of Riverside; 6 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; sisters Emily Minguez and Ida Henry and brother Faustino (Rex) Paulino, all of Philadelphia, PA. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 9, from 6-8pm at Acheson and Graham Garden of Prayer Mortuary with graveside services Friday, July 10 at 10:01am at Riverside National Cemetery, Staging Area 5. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude's Research Hospital, Memphis, TN.
