KATHLEEN DELANEY COOK Our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother peacefully passed away in her home, surrounded by her family, on November 30th, 2010, at age 97. Kathleen was preceded in death by her loving parents, Richard J. Delaney and Margaret Kennedy Delaney; brother, James T. Delaney of Pearl Harbor and sister, Margaret "Sis" Moser. She is survived by her brother, Dick Delaney, age 94, sister, Mary Johnson, age 92; children, Kitty Longden, Patrick Cook, Paul Cook and Rose Talarico, all of Riverside; grandchildren, John Longden of Idaho, Michelle Rainwater, Christopher Cook, Delaney Canale, Colleen Longden, Benjamin Cook and Brittany Talarico, all of Riverside and great-grandchildren, RJ, Max, Samantha, Sydney, Sindy, Jacey, Seth, Frankie and Aiden. Kathleen "Babe" Delaney was born March 4th, 1913 in St. Paul, Minnesota where she resided for the first 33 years of life. Like so many of her time, she packed up and headed west to California where she spent the last 64 years in Riverside. Her greatest happiness was spending time with her family and tending to her gardens. Kathleen was proud to be a life member of the Jurupa Mountain Cultural Center where she worked as a volunteer for 30 years, a member of the Riverside Women\'s club, a member of the "Friends of the Mission Inn" where she volunteered along side of the late Patsy O\'Toole, founder of the "Friends", proud member of "Victoria Avenue Forever" organization and greatly admired the hundreds of Ragged Robin roses planted by volunteers. Thanks to Chapman Hospice for their kind and sensitive care. A service will be held on 12/07/2010, 11:00am at Acheson & Graham Mortuary, 7944 Magnolia Ave. The burial will follow at Olivewood Memorial Park.
