Dawson Hartwig Obituary

DAWSON RAY HARTWIG
Age 20, of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Friday, January 27, 2017. Born in Loma Linda, CA, May 23, 1996 to Mark and Holly Hartwig. Dawson graduated with honors from Etiwanda High School and was a 3rd year student pursuing a Sports Marketing degree at California Baptist University and Riverside Community College. Dawson and his family are members of Water of Life Community Church in Fontana, Ca. Dawson was not only smart but creative. He was musically gifted playing guitar and composing music. He also expressed himself through his art and drawings. Dawson was 6'6" and loved basketball. He lettered in water polo at Etiwanda High School where his #3 swim cap will be retired. He then played on the water polo team at CBU. He was well known to those around him for his constant humor and genuine heart. His unconditional love of others lives on.
Visit the @LoveLikeDawson Facebook page to see the wonderful impact Dawson made on his family, friends and others. Dawson is survived by his parents Mark & Holly Hartwig; two brothers Tucker and Jeremiah; twin sisters Noelle and Samantha; grandparents Betty Hartwig of Las Vegas, NV and Jeremiah Dawson of Rutherfordton, NC and numerous aunts, uncles & cousins.
The memorial service will be held at Water of Life Community Church, 7625 East Ave., Fontana, CA 92336, Tuesday, February 7th at 11:00am.
We invite anyone who would like to come celebrate Dawson's life and Dawson's love with us. Following the service, there will be a reception at 1:30pm at the Jessie Turner Center, 15556 Summit Ave., Fontana, CA 92336. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to come to the reception afterwards to share more stories about Dawson's life. Here, the firefighters will be serving lunch so bring an appetite. Dawson surely would.
If you feel led to give anything in his memory or in lieu of flowers, please donate to Water of Life and write "Global Outreach" in memo section. Dawson had planned on going on a mission trip this summer to Thailand. Monies raised will go to reach children around the world which would be Dawson's desire. Dawson had a heart for others no matter who they were or where they were from. The more we hear about Dawson from everyone he touched, the more we understand how big his heart was. Love Like Dawson isn't just a slogan. It is our response to his life and our way of choosing love in every situation. Dawson's love is unconditional, it is loyal, it is forgiving, it is warm, it is free. We aren't able to love like this on our own. Christ is the one who can love through us in all situations. Today's world could use a lot more unconditional love. Let's love like Dawson. #LoveLikeDawson

I met Dawson in the fourth grade and we have been friends ever since. Dawson was in my words that "PERFECT PERSON" he did nothing but love everyone and care for everybody never a dull moment with him, nothing but laughs with each other we always used to skateboard, eat or end up doing something fun. Dawson was always the peacekeeper never really had a problem with anyone. Dawson and I haven't really been to close since high school just because were working or been really busy but I had just seen him recently too but with all the medication I'm taking I can't remember where but I was in a hurry and told him yeah bro we definitely got to hang out was nice seeing you and he said yes definitely and finding out that Dawson is now not with this us physically it hurts. So many great memories with Dawson he will never be forgotten and always in my heart and other peoples hearts too. You made such an amazing impact on people's lives Dawson you are truly going to be remembered and never forgotten. My family and I condolences go out to the Hartwig family , if you ever need help or any way I can help out let me know please. God Bless , he is in heaven now just watching over all of us. We Love you Dawson!

I feel as though my heart runneth over ever since the news of Dawson on that Friday night, I have never felt a pull as Strong as what I am feeling right now with the exception of my own Brother's passing in 1989... I'm a very Spiritual person and when I heard about what happened I couldn't eat, nor sleep, nor concentrate on anything except finding out as much as I could and seeing if at all I could help even though I don't know the family personally, I couldn't feel more close to Dawson and his Family than I do these past several days.... You All feel as though you are Family to me and I feel a true loving connection to your beautiful Son, Brother, and Madison's True Love of her life! I'm sure our Heavenly Father is the reason for all these feelings I share with each of you, and reading all about Dawson..., I just knew he was a wonderful , loving, and delightful young man with a beautiful soul and a heart of pure Gold. As I've said before, I truly Believe that those who truly have Faith in God know that our Souls shine a Light from within each of us and with All the wonderful qualities Dawson held close to his sweet heart on that night, I believe that Jesus noticed the very Brightest Light of all Shining that night, Brightest of all, and decided he was the most Perfect Soul to call home... And those who like Dawson Loves his Family. Friends, Sweetheart, and others who had the Privilege to cross paths with him... all know and believe in Unconditional Love , which is how he Loved and was Honest, Kind, Polite, Intelligent and so very Kind to strangers as well.... If only everyone was like Dawson Hartwig... He played Polo, taught it to small children, he was an artist with music and sketching, and many more Talents that God Blessed him with... It doesn't get any more Special than that from our Father in Heaven. So at this time I would like to Thank the Hartwig Family and his Love, Madison Perry, plus all of his multitude of Friends for Sharing the Beautiful Life of Dawson Hartwig, a tall young man, but a Giant in his Faith! How Precious his Soul, and May I ask Our Lord at this time to please continue embracing Dawson Hartwig since he's passed through the veil to Heaven and we ask that he's surrounded with Thee and thy Angels Father, as his Life upon this Earth is being Celebrated with all of his Loved ones on this day of February 7, 2017... Please Father wilt thou please Bless this beautiful precious Family to feel thy loving Spirit surrounding each and every one of them during this time... please continue to comfort this Family and Bless them with Comfort, Peace, and Harmony and please Bless them all that any sadness will now be replaced by Beautiful Memories and that you will please sustain them with great Joy in Dawson's Memory... Father we thank you for hearing our Prayer, and please always Comfort the Hartwig Family especially in knowing they WILL be able to be with Dawson again, some day in Heaven..., This Prayer we do ask for in the name of thy Precious Son, Jesus Christ.... AMEN

Holly & Mark, I never had a chance to know your son but based on the consistent theme of what I have read about his love and heart for people, I am sure there is so much to cherish about the life he lived in this short season of his time on earth. We send you our love, prayers and deepest sympathy for your loss.
