George I sure miss you. I wanted to show you how my Chevy runs in the 1/8 mile, like you did at Rialto in your roadster years ago. I think you showed me the way.

George and I were friends since high school and hot rodders from the beginning. Lost track of George for a few decades but he was there when I joined Toshiba and was a super sales professional. Still a hot rodder he built two cars and went drag racing and he influenced me to take my life long hot rod, a 58 Chevy, and put it back on the drag strip. Wish he could have seen me at Fontana in 2018. Sure do miss my buddy George.

Remembering George As I Do!

He was honest,sincere,trustworthy,hard working,intelligent,dedicated,humorous,forgiving,loving,caring,courageous,
entertaining, and brave soul of a man. A heartfelt man,in every sense of the word! He gave generously of himself and left us all richly blessed having known him. He will live on in so many lives surpassing our own.

In so many words, he said it himself in this letter to me: He lived life to it's fullest and had no regrets when having to leave.

Hi Darlyne,
Please don’t worry about me, I am okay with doing Kidney Dialysis 3 days a week, I figure when I retire I will have plenty of time to do dialysis since it is only about 9-10 hours a week and I do it from 5:00am to 8:30am three times a week. It is really easy, I just go to the local dialysis center which I am scheduled and I have my own team of RN’s and techs who set me up in a nice lounge chair with headphones and a television. There is no pain and I feel much better when it is over. Thank you for the offer to supply a kidney, but I would never accept a kidney from a friend or relative, my son Mark also offered a Kidney, I told him no way would I do that.
I have lived a good life for almost 66 years and I believe I can last another 20 years on dialysis, besides a kidney transplant is not always good and many people reject the kidney and die earlier than if they stayed with dialysis. As far as the passing out is concerned, I believe they know what is causing it, I had a long talk with a kidney doctor on Friday of last week and she assured me that the cause is the low red cell blood count and low iron which is causing me to be severely anemic. She said it will take 2-3 months to build up my blood count and iron and then I will get stronger and not pass out. Through dialysis I am getting iron added and they put me on a high protein diet. I am confident that she is correct. So I am optimistic that I will get through this with my son’s help. I appreciate your kind words. Love George

He always told Richard to say "hi!" to Darlyne, but the last conversation talking to Richard on the phone, he said, "Tell Darlyne good-bye!" :( "Never To Be Forgotten!" "Until We Meet Again!" Love and God's Blessings of comfort to the Family! Darlyne And Richard

George joined all of us Anaheim Union High School hot rodders with his fast Fords. We were a roudy clique, cruising the local driveins in Orange County living the "American Graffiti" life style. George and I stayed in touch for the last 50 years and still focused on hot rods and drag racing...our passion. I'll miss George forever and I hope his family recovers, knowing of his kind heart and generosity. George would want us all to remember only the good times and to someday join him again in Heaven.

I worked with George for over 13 years and he was quite simply the best. The best at his job, the best to work with, the best to talk to. I miss him every day. We used to catch up in the early morning; of course I never beat him in. I enjoyed talking to George about everything from the state of the market to raising kids, and he always had something relevant to say.

During our many tough projects (and tough customers!) George was the consummate professional, always solving the problem, smoothing the ruffled feathers and getting the business. I gave up walking trade show floors if George was there. No matter what tiny booth I might uncover, as soon as I said “Toshiba” they said, “Oh yeah, we already talked to George.”

We shared a lot of good chat on cars too, I can just see him racing those hot rods!

Most importantly, George was a family man, always sharing his love and pride for his kids and grandkids. He always had a great story about his Mom too; I still smile when I remember some of his impressions of her!

I’m so sad that he is gone. I miss him very much. I hope his family can take comfort in the fullness of a life so well lived and so well loved.

I had the privilege of working with George for over 26 years. George and I were usually two of the first people to arrive for work every morning. It eventually became an enjoyable game to see who arrived first to make that first pot of coffee. George would usually beat me and along with the delicious coffee he made, he would often bring in a box of fresh donuts to share. That simple gesture and his morning greeting was one of the things I truly missed when I retired in 2009. To George's sons, may you know how generous, kind and warm-hearted your father was to all who knew him. He will be dearly missed and never forgotten.
