Malcolm Alexander Obituary

MALCOLM F. ALEXANDER, JR. Age 90, resident of Riverside, CA for 51 years, passed away 08/20/2011. Malcolm was born 11/30/1920 in New Orleans, LA. He was a Marine Sergeant during WWII serving in the Pacific in Squadron VMF422. He was a member of Boy Scouts of America, Mt. Rubidoux District, for 46 years; member of VFW Post 1956; member of Military Order of Cootie; member of the Grove Community Church for 17 years. Malcolm is survived by his son, Daniel M. Alexander and daughter-in-law, Sharon E. Alexander of Riverside; brother, James E. Alexander of Texas; niece, Linda Alexander of TX; nephew, Rick Smith of TX; 2 grandchildren, Christopher and Collin. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane M. Alexander. Graveside Service 8/26, 12:31pm at Riverside National Cemetery. Gathering to follow at Grove Community Church, 19900 Grove Community Dr. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Boy Scouts California Inland Empire Council.

Malcolm wAS A STALWART MEMBER OF VMF22 and the U.S.Marine Corps. He will be missed by all who knew him.

We have truly been blessed to have been allowed the honor of having known Malcolm. His wit and unwavering support to Boy Scouts of America and our Country's Military will be eternally missed but never forgotten. Be with God now Malcolm. We will miss. Riverside, Troop 141, Rodriguez Family.
