Adam Stephen Myers Obituary
ADAM STEPHEN MYERS passed away on February 4, 2014, after a lifelong struggle against diabetes. Adam was born on October 1, 1965, in Pasadena, California, and moved with his family to Riverside in March, 1970. He attended Castle View, Victoria, Gage, and Riverside Poly High schools, where he played music and water polo. After graduation he attended U.C. San Diego for several years. For the past 18 years he had been a teaching assistant at Ramona High School, where he taught as a part of the team responsible for special education students. He loved spending time playing guitar for friends and family. He leaves his parents, Joseph and Yvonne Myers, of Riverside; his sister, Deborah Myers Norys and her husband Tom and brothers Daniel Myers, of Atlanta, and Jeremy Myers and his wife Patricia, of Tampa. He was close to his nephews Dexter, Jonah, Gabriel, and Jacob, and nieces Allison, Erin, Rachel, and Emma. He leaves a host of friends who will miss him. A gentle and loving man, his only battles were with the disease which finally conquered him. In lieu of flowers or other memorial gifts he and his family suggests contributions to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
