Charles Tolbert

CHARLES D. TOLBERT Charles D. Tolbert, or "Chuck" as he was known to his friends and family has succumbed to his decade-long battle with prostate cancer. He was 76. Chuck was born January 24, 1934, the only child of Sidney and Martha Tolbert. After serving honorably in the United States Army and a career that spanned nearly 40 years with the Hartford Insurance Company, he stayed busy long after retirement. He was a set designer, builder, and occasional actor with several theater troupes in both Connecticut and later California. He was a loving, supportive father and a devoted Grandfather who loved big, noisy family gatherings. He is survived by his son and two granddaughters.
