Dennis Peterson Obituary

SUN CITY DENNIS PETERSON Dennis Loyd Peterson was born on July 7, 1947, to Retired San Bernardino City Fire Battalion Chief Fred Vernon and Katherine Hulga Chance Peterson and died on August 28, 2010, at his residence in Sun City. There were three boys born to Fred and Kay: San Bernardino Deputy Sheriff Richard Eugene deceased, Fred Lynn deceased and Dennis. All the boys were raised and educated in San Bernardino City. Dennis served in the US Air Force for 4 years. He was Past Exalted Ruler of Redondo Beach Elks Lodge and transferred to the Gardena Lodge. Dennis retired from Mag Ins. in August, 2010. He loved to hunt, fish, trap shooting, bowl and classic cars. He joined the Axle Draggers and cruised in his green 1929 Ford Roadster for the last 5 years. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Carol, a nephew, Mike, and a niece, Christine and her family. Services will be held Saturday, September 18, 2010 at Miller-Jones Mortuary at 26770 Murrieta Road, Sun City at 2:00pm. Inurnment will be at Riverside National Cemetery held privately.
