Fern Grutzmacher Obituary

FERN L. GRUTZMACHER 1916 ~ 2010 A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, November 7, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at San Jacinto Untied Methodist Church. Born January 19, 1916, Fern was the 5th of 12 children for Charles and Sadie Flinn of Wheaton, KS, and passed away October 4, 2010 at Manor Care in Hemet. Fern married Fredric A. Grutzmacher in June 1937 and celebrated 68 happy years before his death in 2005. They moved to California in 1942 and San Jacinto Valley in 1946. Fern was a member of San Jacinto United Methodist where she taught Sunday School. She was a volunteer in the San Jacinto schools, Cub Scouts and Little League. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and camping. Fred and Fern were charter members at Silent Valley Resort. Fern is survived by daughter, Virginia Reich of San Jacinto; sons, Charles and Barbara Grutzmacher of Pullman, WA and Fred and Barbara Grutzmacher of Cedar Edge, CO. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 5 step-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 1 brother, Wesley Flinn of Kansas and 1 sister, Rachel Oaks of New Jersey and a multitude of nieces and nephews. Inurnment will be at Wheaton Congregational Cemetery in Wheaton, KS. John Rowe, Director 951-658-4433 #FD833
