It’s hard to believe that it’s been ten years since George passed away. Our medical school class reunion this fall at forty-five years has been postponed until the fall of 2021, because of COVID-19. We hope to have a large turnout next year, and all of our classmates who are no longer with us will be remembered.

Dr. Jukkola delivered both of my sons the first was born 6-17-86 and the last 8-14-89. I remember the last day I saw him. Having been born and raised in So. California my husband and I had made the decision during the end of my pregnancy to put our home up for sale and move to Hickory, NC. I delivered my son by C-Section and we were packed and ready. We waited for my 2 week check up and I went to see Dr Jukkola and I remember as crying as my husband drove away that I would miss Dr Jukkola! He was a very good Doctor and had a very pleasant bedside manner. Leaving good doctors is one of the hardest things to do I think. He made such an impression on me that it will be 30 years ago in August. But I will never forget him and I am sure he made a lasting impact on many lives during his life. I was so sad to see that he passed away 9 years ago. I know his family and friends miss him terribly, but know that he was a wonderful for man and one that I had the pleasure of knowing.
I send my prayers for the family and friends of Dr. Jukkola.

Dr. Jukkola delivered my daughter Aug.12,1983... at Parkview,one year after saving me from an ectopic pregnancy...he was a very caring and cool guy. He was the best.

Dr. Jukkola delivered our daughter, Catherine, on December 26, 1981. He was an excellent doctor throughout the whole pregnancy. We still have the little wine bottle he gave us, even though the wine has long since gone bad. Are so sorry that he passed away.

I still remember Dr. Jukkola. He delivered all three of my daughters at Parkview. Nov. 1983, June 1985 and July 1990. He was an excellent physician. I was shocked and saddened to hear of his passing.

While watching a reality show from Riverside,CA this weekend, my wife and I remembered George, and we decided to look him up. We were shocked to learn that he had passed away unexpectedly almost four years ago. George was one of my best friends in med school. We were both veterans, and a bit older than the traditional student. We met on the first day of classes because of the alphabetized seating arrangements. I've got many stories about George, but my favorite, and you may not know this, is that he played the part of Mr. Spock in our senior play Scar Trek - a perfect choice. We lost contact with each other in the mid 1980's, and I feel bad about that. My wife Joann and I wish to send our condolences to his sons, his fiance' and her family, as well as the remainder of George's family and friends. I can tell how much you loved him, and I'm happy for that. You are belatedly in our prayers, and I can assure you that next year at our 40th reunion, we shall remember George.

I just found out about this dear man.. He delivered my two children in 84' and 86'. Dr. Jukkola was an excellent doctor and I will never forget him. I am so sorry for your loss.

George, Time Does Fly, doesn't it? Won't be too long before I'll be there to join you. Maybe we can talk over old times, good and not so good. Whatever we talk about, I remember the conversations went on for hours and they were always interesting. Glad I was able to be there for you then.

I just learned of George's passing. I grew up with him in Aliquippa, PA. Our fathers both worked for Jones & Laughlin Steel. George lived at 100 N. Brodhead Rd. I lived at 411 N. Brodhead Rd. It's a sad day ! Last time I saw him, he was still had the Old house in Riverside , CA. My heart goes out to those he left behind !

I just found out Dr Jukkola had passed away.
I was so upset to hear this. Dr Jukkola was a 3 generation doctor for us.
He took care of my mother, myself (delivered my daughter), and my daughter (delivered my grandson).
I ran into him at Costco when he was moving to San Diego. Little did I know that would be the last time I would see this AMAZING man!
You will forever be missed....RIP....Thank you for ALL you have done for our families.

I found out just recently that Dr. Jukkola passed away. He delivered all three of my daughters, who are now 28, 26 and 21. He was a fantastic doctor. He will be truly missed.

I was so shocked and sadden to here of Dr. Jukkola's passing. He was as many have said my doctor and my employer. He brought my daughter into the world in 1991. He will be missed. RIP Dr. Jukkola

George was my employer for many years. It saddens me to find that he has passed on. He was also a friend, I know his boys and had many Christmas' and other events in his home. I ejoyed the 12 years I work with him. He tenderly gave me my most precious gifts, Brandom and Kimberly Cochran, my grandchildren. Even though I hadn't spoke with him in many years, an e-mail here and there..he was in my thoughts and prayers and I now send those to his family, Judy and others who loved him. Dr. George Jukkola was my doctor in 1998 and I will never forget him, I have searched him in 2005 and 2008 so he can continue my care as an OB/Gyn but I was not able to find him. On December 20,2010 I happened to look at the news paper and I never read it but I always have this thing of looking at people who has past away and I pray their in heaven, when I was done looking at the first page it said continue but I didn't want to know more so I accidentally turn the page & I began to read again and looking at pictures and right on the very bottom I seen his name; Dr. George D. Jukkola and I felt really sad and shocked, I hardly look in the news paper. My son Lewis Franco was one of the children that Dr. George Jukkola brought to this world and I am very honored to say that. His funeral service was on my birthday and I pray that his family find peace and love and comfort my most sincere condolences and much respect to you all who are grieving the loss of a dear loved one Dr. George D. Jukkola.

Dr. Jukkola delivered my two beautiful daughters. One on February 08, 1997 and the other on November 17, 1999. Both are very talented and are going to be successful in life. Thanks to Dr. Jukkola they were able to be brought into this world. I am forever grateful to him. God Bless your family and the legacy that he has helped pass on.
