Lillie Beth (Walls) Petit Obituary
LILLIE BETH (WALLS) PETIT passed peacefully at the age of 81 with her loving son Lee by her side at her home in Hemet, CA on Feb. 15, 2014. Her life had been built around bringing joy and smiles to others, but the past year she had been limited in sharing that gift by numerous strokes, falls, and complications. Born on Oct. 17 1932, in Blum, Texas to her parents Thelma (Beasley) Grandorff and Edgar (Buddy) Allen Walls, Jr., she spent her early childhood years being a country girl and attended schools in Cleburne and Ft. Worth, TX. She lived, worked and raised her children in Texas, Washington, and Oregon before moving to California in the early 80's where she and her husband Donald Petit were long time managers of the Foothills of Hemet Mobile Home Park. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Don; her cherished and devoted daughter Sheila Beth Search; and her closest friend and sister Thelma Lou Jenson. She is survived by her son Lee Simmons and his wife Darla of Yucaipa, CA; two sisters Jeanette (Walls) Maxwell and Judy (Walls) Dean of Ft. Worth, TX; a brother Micheal Don Williams and his wife Renee of Puyallup, WA; a grandson, James Pankratz of Round Rock, TX; and two caring and loving nieces, Sherry Meserve of Montpelier, ID and Christina Salak of Bellevue, WA; and many more close family members in WA, VA, and TX. The family wishes to acknowledge and give thanks to her friends in Foothills of Hemet who provided Lillie Beth with visits and support throughout her debilitation and to the incredibly compassionate people of Inland Empire Home Health and Hospice who cared for her and supported her son throughout her final days. In order to honor her wishes no service will be held, but those wishing to leave remembrances of Lillie Beth may sign the online guest book at www.cremationsociety.com
