Candace, Matt and his Brothers Travis and Josh, I cannot imagine the pain you feel. I was so surprised to hear about Lucas tonight from a friend. I heard of the tragedy here in Centennial when it was reported on the news and I paused to pray for the family. Tonight I am more sad as I know Lucas is the Son of a good friend from my H.S. years. Matt I am praying for you and your family to have peace through your grieving.

I can only imagine the heartache you must feel right now. Chris, your mom used to say the most wonderful things about you and your family. She was so proud as I know you all are. Everything I read about Lucas is such a tribute to an amazing person. You and Candace must know what an awesome job you did raising him. Please know that my prayers are with you, Candace, Joshua and Travis. I pray that God gives your heart comfort knowing that he is now with Him in heaven.

To all of The Ranson Family: I will pray for continued peace in your hearts. I can't imagine the pain felt with your loss. I have seen you on the news and am astonished to see such great strength, yet I know it only comes from the Lord. Lucas will not only be remembered in California but all over the US including Grants Pass. I truly believe that the Lord will use your family to touch many lives just as your son had. We are so sorry about your loss. I have known Lucas since the first day that he came to Romoland Elementary; he was always an adorable child with a fantastic sense of humor and a contagious smile. To see Lucas was like seeing a ray of sunshine, always bright and warm. He always seemed to find the way to make everyone around him happy and loved. At Project Courage he was one of our helpers, best helper we ever had (Travis was one of our best helpers too) Lucas was always willing to help those children that required a lot of attention, and to them (those children) Lucas was their hero. Lucas will be miss immensely and it brings me to tears that such a bright young man was taken from this world, but then I have to think that God needed an amazing soul by his side to make all of his angels smile. Lucas, it was an honor knowing you son. God bless you and your amazing family during these hard times.

To all of Lucas's family and friends. I was the librarian at Romoland Elementary/Middle school and knew Lucas and his family while the boys attended school there. He was a great kid and sounds like he was becoming a great man. He will be sadly missed and my condolences go out to you all. I will continually keep Lucas and his family in my thoughts and prayers.
