Paul Kirst Obituary

MENIFEE PAUL KIRST Paul Kirst, 82, died September 9, 2010, with his family by his side in Menifee, California. Mr. Kirst was born October 10, 1927, in Los Angeles, California. He graduated from Chaffey College in Ontario, California and continued his education at the University of California at Riverside. He worked for the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) for 41 years and retired in December 1988 as Deputy District Director-Administration in District 8, San Bernardino. Paul enjoyed reading, listening to the old standards, playing cards, traveling, cruising the high seas and happy hour with his favorite glass filled with gin, along with socializing with good friends. His love for spending time with family and friends was only exceeded by his love for Mary, his wife of 15½ years. He will be missed greatly by his family and everyone who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife Mary, his son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Jane Kirst, grandchildren, Chad and wife Rose Kirst, Kristen and husband Jason Terwilliger and Jason Kirst. He was preceded in death by his first wife Georgeann and son Edward Gregory. A service celebrating Paul Kirst\'s life will be held at The Oasis Community in Menifee, California. The family asks that in lieu of flowers that a contribution be made to your favorite charity in Paul\'s name. EVANS BROWN MORTUARY ^(951) 679-1114 On-Line Condolences evans-brownmortuary.com
