Richard Allerton Obituary

RICHARD M. ALLERTON Richard M. Allerton ("Dick") passed away unexpectedly on Sunday September 5, 2010. He was 82 years old. Dick is survived by his daughter Nancy, his son Steve, and his grandson Luke. Dick had a real passion for the card game of Bridge and was a lifelong teacher and player. He had attained the level of Bronze Life Master. Dick and his family spent several weeks every summer with a beloved Aunt going to Canada, and then to Cape Cod years later. Nancy and Steve remember these trips as being among the most enjoyable parts of their childhoods. Dick decided to move to CA from the NYC area, after visiting Nancy in 1995. To get to California, Dick took a two and a half month driving adventure that enabled him to see a huge swath of the U.S. He moved to San Jacinto a few years ago to live with Nancy. Dick and Nancy shared their love of cats. He had a special bond with Blizzard, the smartest cat either of them had ever known.
