Sarah C. Johnson Obituary
SARAH C. JOHNSON Mother, grandmother and devoted Assistance League and Les Confreres member passed away on Wednesday, April 17th at Redlands Community Hospital. She was born on November 9, 1935 in Greenville, S.C. She moved to Southern California in January 1967, ultimately residing in the community of Sun Lakes in Banning CA. Sarah was preceded in death by her husband Ben L. Johnson and her son Richard W. Johnson. Her four surviving children Angela Carman (Paul) of Redlands, CA, Toni Johnson of Aliso Viejo, CA, Ben Johnson Jr. (Debbie) of Redlands, CA and Wallace Johnson of McAllen, TX mourn the loss of their mother. Sarah was a loving and generous grandmother to her grandchildren Christopher Carman (Jet), Tanis Carman, Emily Carman, Amanda Limon-Johnson, Camille Limon-Johnson, Eryn Johnson and Sachi Johnson. Sarah is also survived by her brother Steve Burdsal (Sharon) of Greenville, SC. Sarah was actively involved in and a generous supporter of the Assistance League of San Bernardino and its auxiliary Les Confreres since 1984. The Dr. Earl R. Crane Dental Health Center and Operation School Bell were her passions aside from her family. A celebration of and remembrance of Sarah's life will be held on Sunday, April 28, 2013 from 2pm to 5pm, at the home of Ben and Debbie Johnson, 410 La Salle St., Redlands, CA 92374 (909) 792-1846. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Dr. Earl R. Crane Dental Health Center and/or Operation School Bell through Assistance League® of San Bernardino (909) 885-3085. Sarah's love, kindness and lively personality will be forever missed by all who knew and loved her.
