Toots and family,
I have many fond memories of Verne, and I feel such sadness to hear of his passing.
When I first moved to Hemet, Verne was so kind to me and my Mom Toby. He and Toots took Mom and I up to Julian so I could experience the town and apple pie. It was such a wonderful day and he was so patient with me so I could look at everything.
I have always missed the Friday nights at the Stadium in San Jacinto and knowing that Verne won't be there makes me miss it more. Since I moved back to Oregon I realize what wonderful friends I made in Hemet and San Jacinto.
I feel the sadness all of you feel since I just lost Mom in July.
My thoughts and love are with all of you!
