William Rourke Obituary

WILLIAM THOMAS ROURKE Passed away on January 8th, 2009 at age 86. He led a full and happy life. He resided in Riverside with his loving wife, Ruth, for over fifty years. Sweet William was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Bill was born in Denver, Colorado on March 16, 1922. He married his childhood friend, Ruth, and spent 57 adventure filled years of marriage all over the world. Bill retired from the United States Air Force after 26 years of honorable service. He was both a pilot and a squadron commander. William Thomas Rourke is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Ruth Rourke; his sons, Jim and Mark Rourke; his daughter, Sheri Bailey (husband Michael Bailey); Jim's wife Carlotta and his two grandsons, Mike and Steve; Michael's wife, Amy Rourke, and great-grandson, Jack Henry Rourke. He was predeceased by his son, William (bill) D. Rourke. Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, January 13th at 10:00am at the Garden of Prayer Mortuary, 7944 Magnolia Ave. in Riverside, California. In lieu of flwoers please send donations to the Riverside City Mission, 3878 6th St., Riverside, CA or the Salvation Army. Service Arrangements Entrusted To Acheson & Graham Mortuary (951) 688-1221
