Ysidro Gurrola Obituary

YSIDRO URENO GURROLA Was a great man of God. He went to be with the Lord September 24, 2010 with his family by his side, at the age of 76. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Gloria, and their five children, Rosemary, Patricia, Monica, Robert, and David, as well as 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Ysidro was born on May 15, 1934 and raised in a small modest home in Casablanca. he was one of 10 children to Cleofas and Cruz Gurrola. In 1955 Ysidro married Gloria Chavez and began a journey together in life that boasted the essence of true love. In between raising his family, he took a life long vow to serve the Lord and his people by becoming a deacon at Our Lady of perpetual Help Catholic Church for the last 25 years. He began his career at Riverside Community College and worked there for over 40 years. His life was fulfilled by quality time spent with his family, trips to his mountain cabin, and serving the local community. My uncle Sid was a true man of God who always expressed God's love with his kind and meek nature, always loving his family and extending his hand to people. I have truly been blessed by his life, and have always used his example of Love to help me in my life! From my family: "Jesse, George, Rebekah, Jacob, Joanie and George" "we Love you Uncle Sid and Family!" May the Comforter be with you and The Lord stengthen you through! Amen.
