Norma Lee Garwood Obituary
The Life of NORMA LEE GARWOOD Nov 1, 1930 - Mar 24, 2014 Norma was 83 when she lost her battle with cancer passing peacefully at her home in Hemet, surrounded by her family. She is survived by her husband Alan Garwood of 66 years; two sons, Alan Jr and Roger; two daughters, Denise and Cheryl; 13 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Dwight Polley of Apple Valley. Norma was an accomplished Equestrian, making her mark on the Morgan Horse scene, becoming very well-known and respected by her peers. She competed with the best to take home trophies and ribbons that line the walls of her garage and barns of the 5 acre farm where she and Alan have spent the last 49 years. She raised four children and worked with Alan on the farm until 1970 when they bought what is now known as Al's Kubota Tractors. Her hard work and tenacity for perfection showed in every facet of her life. She was a wonderful mother, wife, and grandmother, and will be missed beyond words. Please come and celebrate Norma's life with family and friends: Monday, May 5th, Bible Fellowship Church, 26835 Columbia Street, Hemet, Ca. 92544.
