Gordon Naslund Obituary
GORDON (BUD) ANDREW NASLUND Bud Naslund went home to be with the Lord on August 28th, 2011 at the age of 86. He was born to Hartley and Alice Naslund and was raised in Lynwood, California. He attended the University of Washington and the University of Southern California, playing basketball for each school, as well as serving in the U.S. Navy from 1943-1946. Bud coached basketball and tennis at Bell and Wilson High Schools before moving to East Los Angeles College where he coached the same sports for 22 years. After retirement, Bud moved from Covina, where he raised his family, to Lake Arrowhead where he worked in Real Estate for 19 years and was active in Community Bible Study leadership. He later moved to Murrieta/Sun City where he continued in CBS leadership, serving as Area Director. He was an active member of Canyon Lake Community Church. Bud is survived by his wife June, his son Jeffrey Naslund of Luxembourg, his daughters Debi Buetow and husband Dr. Ted of Hollywood, and Laura Taggart and husband Gary of Pleasanton, California. He has 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Services to celebrate Bud's life will be held Friday, September 9th, 11:00am at Canyon Lake Community Church, 30515 Railroad Canyon Rd. in Canyon Lake. In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances may be made to Community Bible Study Ministry Service Center, 790 Stout Rd., Colorado Springs, CO. 80921 or Canyon Lake Community Church Memorial Fund at the above address.
