William M. Moen Sr. Obituary
WILLIAM M. MOEN, SR. (ALSO KNOWN AS "BILL" OR "BILLY") Passed away on 11/5/2011 in Norco, Ca. He was born on May 8, 1938 and raised on a farm in Colfax, Wisconsin before moving to California in 1956 where he began his own family. He was a dedicated employee working for the Vons Grocery chain as a Meat Cutter / Manager for over 30 years. During his life, he coached youth baseball, supported his children's involvement in 4-H and was an avid fan of the Wisconsin Green Bay Packers, Brewers, and Bucks. He also looked forward to the Norco High School Friday night football games, which he rarely missed even after his children graduated. He lived life simply and retirement gave him the opportunity to relive "farm life"; enjoying his dogs, chickens and geese on a daily basis. Although he was quiet and private, to his family he was lighthearted, easy going, and loved to tease. He was preceded in death by his son, William M. Moen, Jr., "Billy". He is survived by his three daughters: Kimberly Moen-Perez, Tamra Moen and Debra Moen; his four sisters: Ovila Nelson, Doris Rosenberg, Leila Stoll and Mary Ann Lowe; his grandchildren: Daniel Perez, Jonathan Perez, Serena Moen and Billy Moen; as well as many other family members in both California and Wisconsin. He was loved dearly and will be missed. Family and friends will gather for a small graveside memorial on 11/25/2011 at 1 PM at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Memorial Park and Mortuary 11500 Arlington Ave., Riverside, CA 92505 (951) 689-1441.
