Frank Leroy Wilson Obituary
FRANK LEROY WILSON February 4, 1935 - February 1, 2013 Frank Wilson, 77, passed away peacefully at his home in Hemet, CA., surrounded by those who loved him. Frank was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. Born in Detroit, Mi. raised by the late Arthur and Nettie LaBeau. Frank is survived by his wife, Kiyo A. Wilson; daughters Kiyo and Bill Kirk, Irene and Rudy Victorio and Dorothy and Ruben Caballero; grandchildren Elias, Cody, Brandon, Paul, Jasmine, Cheyenne, William, Chris, Michael, Dominick and Jacqueline; great grandchildren Aidan, Alana, Brooke, Rilee, Emberlee and Delilah. Frank was raised in Harper Woods, Mi. and at an early age joined the Marine Corps to honorably and courageously serve his country for 20 years with an additional 10 years in the Reserves. He was a Veteran of the Korean and Viet Nam wars and received many commendations for his "Courage Under Fire" and retired with the rank of Gunnery Sergeant. During his assignment in Japan, he met and married his beloved wife, Kiyo and enjoyed 55 years of unconditional love and happiness. After retiring from the military, Frank began his second career in the Food and Beverage industry. From 2000-2008, he enjoyed his latest career with Soboba Casino and retired from there as the Beverage Supervisor. Frank was a stout family man who believed in keeping his loved ones close. He cared for and loved his family deeply and ensured they had everything they needed. He was a fierce protector who with no doubt once demonstrated this many times in the Wars fought for freedom. Known as selfless and kind, he always was the one who gave each person a chance no matter what walk of life they came from. Many who worked for Frank remember him fondly and well; as a good man and a man of profound honesty and integrity. Frank loved the history of the world and this was evident in many of his favorite past times. He was a man of eclectic and refined tastes. Truly, the mold was broken when God chose to make a man such as Frank. Frank's family and friends will gather on Friday, February 22, 2013 at the Riverside National Cemetery at 1:45 pm with full honors and the presentation of the flag to his beloved wife, Kiyo.
