Dixie Gross

DIXIE GROSS On July 20th, Dixie Gross peacefully passed away at her home in Corona surrounded by her family and loving caregiver, Eppi. Dixie was born in Loma Linda, CA on August 26, 1935. She graduated from Poly High School in 1953, and attended Riverside College where she was the President of her Sorority. In 1954 she met the love of her life, Robert Gross. They were married in 1955 and celebrated 51 years together until Bob passed in 2006. She is preceded in death by her parents Dan and Avis Hogan, husband Robert, eldest daughter Sherry Gross Vandebrug, and nephew David Hogan II. She is survived by daughter Lisarae Avery, grandchildren Levi and Dixie Avery, great-grandson Jacob Avery, brother and sister-in-law David and Mary Hogan of Stockton and niece Michelle Wheaton and her family; Jim, Thomas and Tyler of Elk Grove. Bob and Dixie will be laid to rest together at a private ceremony at Riverside National Cemetery on Thursday, August 1, 2013. A celebration of her Life will be held Sunday, July 28, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m. at her home located at 625 E. Monterey Rd., Corona, CA 92879. All are invited to join us for an afternoon of great food, good champagne and story-telling.
