Rita Raines Babcock

RITA RAINES BABCOCK was born on 5/22/1930 in Chicago, Ill. She passed away on 3/13/2014 in Redlands, Ca. She was married for 40 wonderful years to her beloved husband Ben Babcock. Rita was an adored Professional Singer; she starred and sang on Arthur Godfrey's Talent Scouts and The Dick Clark Show. She had 17 recordings, one which charted at #89 on Billboard Hot 100 in February 1956. Rita is survived by her husband Ben Babcock; children Robert, Diane and Tom; step-children Chris and Robin; sister Marguerite; brothers Rick and Charlie; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and a host of niece's and nephew's, extended family and friends. She is predeceased by her parents Domingo and Stella Fernandez, sister Rachael and son John. She will be dearly missed and always remembered.
