Wade H. Williamson of Pearland, passed away at his home Sunday, April 21st after a long courageous battle with cancer. Wade was born in Sevierville, Tennessee in 1939.
In his early years, Wade pitched for the semi-pro Cincinnati Red baseball team and managed a boat marina. Wade moved to Texas where he married his wife Wanda and soon settled in Pearland. He had many jobs from Pearland Police Officer, Owner of R&W Locksmith Company, Pearland ISD bus driver, truck driver, heavy equipment operator and many others. He later remarried to Joyce Williamson after Wanda's passing with cancer. There is no way to know how many hearts he has touched over the years or how many more he has yet to touch. Everyone loved Wade when they met him from his warm smile to his antics.
He is survived by his wife Joyce Williamson, children Roger and Kim Williamson, Michael and Marjaka Straub, Becky Straub, grandchildren Cody Williamson, Brandon Robertson, Michael Goldsmith, great grandchild Zachery Robertson, sister Ruth Helton, nieces and nephews Carolyn and Hubert Tanner, Larry and Faye Helton, Freddy Helton, Pat Ross, Sandy and Griff Minter and numerous other nieces and nephews and best friend of 34 years Jack Kasprzak. He is proceeded in death by his wife Wanda Williamson, son Craig Williamson, granddaughter Heather Robertson, parents, brothers and sisters.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, April 25th at 10AM at South Park Cemetery in Pearland. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Houston Hospice in his name.
