Kenai and Nikiski resident Amanda Renee Berg died Tuesday, March 8, 2011, at Central Peninsula Hospital, in Soldotna. She was 25.
A celebration of her life will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday at Tyotka's Elder Center in Old Town Kenai. Pastor Harold Lewis will officiate.
Mrs. Berg was born July 28, 1985, at Central Peninsula Hospital, in Soldotna. She graduated from Kenai Alternative High School in 2003. While in high school, she worked for Country Foods and Soldotna Realty. She also worked for Fred Meyer from April 2005 until March 2010. She then worked for Ready Care.
Mrs. Berg was baptized Russian Orthodox. She also attended the First Baptist Church of Port Nikiski.
She enjoyed camping, reading, spending time with her children, family and friends.
"Amanda loved and cherished her family. We will all miss her beautiful smile and kind heart." Her family said.
Mrs. Berg was preceded in death by her grandparents, Alexander M. "Joe" and Freda Ross; great-grandparents, Henry "Hank" and Erva McGahan; and Robert O. and Olga N. Berg.
She is survived by her husband, Robert "Bobby" Berg; daughters, Alyssa M. and Layla N. Berg; mother and stepfather, Valerie Ross and Randy Anderson, all of Kenai; her father, Rusty Seaman,Sr., of Anchorage; father-in-law, Scott Carlough and mother-in-law, Constance "Connie" Berg, both of Kenai; brother and sister-in-law, Rusty Seaman Jr. and Danielle Stevenson, of Kenai; sister and brother-in-law, Leslie and Ralph Hemphill III, of Nikiski; aunts and uncles, Juanita "Sissie," who was her godmother, and Pat O'Brien, of Nikiski; Robert "Rock" Ross, who was her godfather, and Lori Ross of Nikiski; Alex "Joey" and Monique Ross, of Nikiski; Evelyn and Clinton Redding, of Sutton; Robin and Jim Rogers, of K-Beach and Nevada; Ravin Seaman, of K-Beach; and Rocky Seaman; and grandparents, Avis McGahan, of Anchorage and Duane Seaman, of Michigan; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members to numerous to mention.
Arrangements were by Peninsula Memorial Chapel in Kenai.
