Soldotna resident Beth Marie Jobe, 55, died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012 at her home in Soldotna.

A celebration gathering will be held at noon Monday, Dec. 31, 2012 at Peninsula Memorial Chapel, 5839 Kenai Spur Highway in Kenai. She will be laid to rest at The Spruce Grove Memorial Park in Kasilof.
Mrs. Jobe was born October 15, 1957 in Victoria, Texas. She graduated high school and furthered her education by attending the University of Alaska Fairbanks where she came real close to receiving a degree in Geology. In 1986 Beth moved to Alaska where she lived in Soldotna, Fairbanks, and Ketchikan throughout her life. She enjoyed music, hiking, and grandchildren.
Her family wrote, "Beth was well loved by her family, she loved playing with her grandchildren, listening to music with her daughter Caitlin and cooking with her daughter Tiffany."
She is survived by her daughters, Tiffany Connelly-Welch of Alaska and Caitlin Marie Jobe of Alaska; husband, Scott M. Jobe of Alaska; son in-law, David Z. Welch of Alaska; grandchildren, Paige, Johnathan, Hannah and Matthew Connelly-Welch all of Alaska; brother in-law, William Teakell of Alaska; niece, Carrie Teakell of Alaska and Sarah Kirkpatrick of New Mexico; sister, Susan Bollier of Texas; and brother, Larry L. Shafer of Texas.
