Longtime Kenai resident, Mrs. Bobbie Kay Blythe, 67, died Saturday, June 30, 2011 in Soldotna.
Per Bobbie's request there will be no services.
Bobbie was born to Robert and Elaine Ray on September 23, 1943 in Kansas City, Kansas. She attended Washington High School in Kansas City. She married James F. Blythe on September 23, 1967 and they relocated to Kenai in 1969.
Bobbie worked at North Kansas City Hospital Coffee Shop from 1964-1965, as a waitress in various restaurants from 1970-1971 and at D&A Coffee shop/snack bar from 1975-1977. Her most admirable and enjoyable job was raising her children and grandchildren.
Her daughter wrote, "My mom spent her life taking care of people. She was lovingly known as "Mom B or Grandma B" to many people she touched outside of her own family. She was the living definition of unconditional love and I will miss her dearly."
Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents; children, Mary Little and Brenda Blythe; siblings, Sandra Jennings and Michael Oldfield; her Grandma Strickland; son in-law, Daniel Little; Nephews/Nieces Mike Jennings, Laura Gosserand and Sherrie Crain.
She is survived by her husband, James F. Blythe of Kenai; daughter and son in-law, Bonnie and Travis Bemis of Kenai; sisters, Sharon Jones and Pat Johnson of Kansas City, KS and Carleta Lycke of Oswego, IL; grandchildren, Donald, Danielle, and Samantha Little, Parker Speed and Eli and Maggie Bemis; great-grandchildren, Landon Porter, Carson and Aurora Little; best friend, Doris McLaughlin and friends, Vicky Roberts, Mary McConnell, Sandie Holmes.
Bobbie's family would like to thank all of the doctors, nurses and staff at Central Peninsula Hospital. A special thanks to Vicky, Danny, and Sonja and the whole Oncology staff!
