Longtime Kenai resident, Chuck Walker, 50, joined his parents in Heaven on Monday, Feb. 11, 2013 due to complications of heart surgery.
Chuck is survived by his loving wife, Lari Walker of Kenai; brother and sister-in-law Dan and Modesta Walker of Anchorage; brother Ron Walker of Kenai; brother and sister-in-law Bill and Deanna Walker of Homer; sister and brother-in-law Pam and Tim Gray of Homer; sister and brother-in-law Sue and Chris Gillen of Anchorage; two step-children Jason Gough of Soldotna, Jolene Gough of Kenai, Kira Chancey of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Briar Fidler of Kenai; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great–nephews; and six grandchildren.
Chuck was currently employed as the sales manager at Mattress Ranch Soldotna. Although Chuck is still remembered as the Electronics Manager at K-Mart.
Chuck loved hunting and fishing, never missing an opportunity to share his time or expertise with anyone. Most summer days you would see the "Alaska" boat on the Kenai River. Chuck never knew a stranger and was loved by many. Whether it was dressing his beloved dog Maggie up on the holidays or playing Santa for the children of friends and family, he always found enjoyment in life. His good humor and golden heart will live on in the hearts of family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held 2 p.m., March 2 at the Kenai Senior Center in Kenai. Please bring your stories and memories as we honor the memory of a great friend, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle.
