Lifelong Alaska resident Edmund K. Greatreaks passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at the age of 60.

Edmund, or Ed as many knew him, was born in Alaska before it was a state. He loved sports, was an avid fan of the Cowboys and Steelers, and was champion of the local pool league. He also loved to hunt and fish, as well as playing horse shoes. Edmund was a jack of a few trades and master of none. He lived in Anchorage and for a while on the Kenai Peninsula, attended Service-Hanshew, and Kenai Central High. Returned to Anchorage to spend the rest of his life. He was married and has two fine sons.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, foster parents, foster grandmother, an older brother, and his stepfather.

Edmund is survived by his sister Georgia Norris of Soldotna; brother Ronald C. Williamson Sr. of Anchorage; sons Jason Greatreaks of Anchorage and Jeremy Great of Las Vegas, Nevada; foster siblings, Ruby E. Stogsdill of Soldotna, Mary S. Foster of Arizona, Cherry A. Watson of Virginia, and Harvey Knutsen of Soldotna; niece and nephew, Veronica and Ronald C. Williamson Jr. of Wasilla; an aunt; and numerous nephews and cousins.
