Memorial Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017 at the American Legion Post #20.

Gerald "Jerry" Douglas Moore was born April 14, 1933 in Otsego, Michigan to Howard and Paula Moore. He served in the Marines Corp. during the Korean War. While stationed in California he met and married the love of his life, Loretta Jane Moore, with the couple celebrating their 60th anniversary in 2016.

In 1957, Jerry and Loretta with childhood friends Rita and Jim Goff homesteaded on Daniels Lake. Jerry was a commercial fisherman and block layer, and retired as a longshoreman. He could hunt and fish everything and was a jack of all trades. He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his son Gary.

He leaves his wife, Loretta; daughter, Mary; son, Brandon who was his long-time caregiver; brother, Darrell and wife Judie Moore; favorite sister in law; sisters Fran Hall, Betty Spencer, and Snooks Walsingham; and many loved nieces and nephews.
