Our beloved Dad, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Husband and friend, Jimmy J. Jeter, 78, passed away in Craig, Alaska in the loving arms of his new bride Darlene Landon Jeter on 11/11/2013. Jim was married to Evelyn Jeter for 45 years until she passed on in 2004 and lived most of their lives in Bellingham, WA, while they raised their two daughters and resided in Kasilof, AK, after Jim's retirement from Arco in Prudoe Bay. They are survived by two daughters, Sherry Huston (Ken) of Bellingham, WA, and Kathy Elmore (Mickey) of Kasilof, AK. Jim had married Darlene, his current wife, previously in 1955 and they had two sons, Jimmy Landon Jeter (Kathy) and Terry Landon Jeter (Tamera) of Battleground, WA, but circumstances including serving in the Navy for long periods of time separated them after 3 years of marriage. Jim and Darlene, both widows after long marriages, reunited after niece Lyndsay found Jim's daughter Kathy on Ancestry.com. A family reunion this August reunited and united Jim, Darlene, their sons and daughters, numerous Grandchildren and G-Grandchildren, meeting for the first time. Realizing they still had the love they had for each other beginning as high school sweethearts, sparks began to fly once again and they remarried only 10 weeks ago and made their home in Craig, AK. Jim died unexpectedly in his sleep during the night while embraced by his wife. He will always have a special place in the hearts of his sons-in-law, Ken and Mickey, Grandson Andre Brionez and G-Grandaughter Sophia who loved her G-G-Pa, coffee friends Taylor, Tom and Gail, Glen and Cindy, Julie, Doran and Susie, Cooper and many more. A memorial is planned for the summer of next year. We will see you again Dad!
