Jordanna Larson Obituary

Jordanna Michel Larson fell asleep in death on August 3, 2011 at the age of
26. A memorial will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1305
Kiana, off Candlelight in Kenai on Saturday, August 13 at 3:30 p.m.
Everyone knowing her loves Jordanna and will deeply miss her legendary smile
and uninhibited laughter. She lit up a room when she walked in. Many have
said she is the kindest woman they have ever known. She loved from a pure
heart without reserve and touched countless lives, treating all gently,
without partiality. Jordanna has a unique gift to make everyone feel special
because she saw the value of each individual. Loved ones said, "She was
amazing in every sense of the word!" "She was the best in everything. She was
... a loving daughter, loyal sister, unwavering servant of Jehovah, most
amazing friend and devoted wife!" "Jordanna Larson defines beautiful!" "She
fought the fine fight ... She made it!" "We will see her again in Jehovah
God's new system of things."
At an early age Jordanna chose to dedicate her life to her God, Jehovah, and
be baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Loyally, in her last conscious
hours, Jordanna gave a courageous witness to a roomful of doctors about her
confidence in Jehovah's promise to resurrect her soon to everlasting life on
a paradise earth. She quoted Revelation 21:3, 4, moving them to tears at the
strength of her faith. She also expressed her concern and wish for her
family, congregation and friends, that all live faithfully so as to be there
when she awoke.
Jordanna was preceded in death by her "precious boy," Landon Rogers, and her
"brother," Isaiah. She is survived by her loving husband Bryan Larson, her
parents Keith and Maureen Shaffer, her little brother, Jace and big brother,
Jacob, along with his wife Connie and their children Laycie, Jacob, Darren
and Tiara; Bryan's family, Michael, Tami, Brenna and Bradi; close family
members Grandma Gayle, Grandma Shaffer, Kelly, K.C., Kim, Meryl, Amanda, Ariah, Ariana, Cindy and Nana Jill,
Bethy H., Aaron, her large extended family, so many dear friends, and her
entire congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Kenai.

I didn't know Jordanna, but I was bless by Jehovah to read Jordanna's obituary. I am so very encouraged to try my best to follow her find example. Jordanna's love for our God Jehovah, his son Jesus, and the entire association JW lovers of Jehovah, a fine example of the kind of woman Jehovah approves of. (1 Peter 3:4) . . .but let it be the secret person of the heart in the incorruptible [apparel] of the quiet and mild spirit, which is of great value in the eyes of God.
God bless the family and help them to endure. I look forward to meeting Jordan in the new system, I pray to be able to tell her thanks for the fine example.

May God continue to comfort the family and congregation on the lost of our dear sister. We can all look forward to the time when death will be no more and instead of tears of sorrow there will be tears of happiness. May your memories bring you a measure of comfort at this time of great sorrow. And may you all continue to gain strength and peace for the promises found in God's Word.

Jordana was a truly beautiful girl whose genuine caring for others and love for Jehovah could be felt by her presence. That warm, sincere, beautiful smile. So cruel that it was taken from her loving family, from us. Jehovah will fix all the suffering we endure now and it is truly temporary.

I knew Jordanna when she was a little girl. I babysat her and her brother a few times and attended the same congregation meetings. She was a gentle, sweet and loving little girl. I am not surprised to find out she turned into an amazing woman! I am honored to have known her. My sympathy and condolences to the family. She will be missed.
