Lawrence Dale "Rory" Rorrison Jr (1953 - 2018)

Lawrence Dale Rorrison Jr., known as Rory to friends and family, 64, passed away fighting leukemia on June 1, 2018.

Rory was born in Seward, Alaska on June 8, 1953 to Meryl and Lawrence Dale Rorrison. He graduated from Kenai Central High School and later graduated with an associate's degree from the University of Fairbanks Alaska. Rory married Patricia Kelsch and had three children; David Rorrison, Samantha Rorrison, and Barbara Rorrison.

Rory was a man of many talents and although he was a plumber by trade, he knew a little about everything and loved to share his knowledge with anyone who wanted to learn. He was also a setnet commercial fisherman for most of his life and eventually became a permit holder and ran his own fish site.

Rory is preceded in death by his mother Meryl Rorrison, father Lawrence Dale Rorrison and grandmother Esther Rogers. He is survived by wife Patricia Kelsch-Rorrison, son David Rorrison, daughters Samantha Rorrison and Barbara Rorrison, granddaughter Naomi Rorrison, sister Susan Rorrison, brother Mark Rorrison, and nephew Isaac Cryer.
