Longtime Sterling resident Lorie Anne Teed, 50, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Central Peninsula Hospital from complications after a sudden diagnosis of leukemia.

A celebration of her life will be announced at a later time.

Lorie was born Nov. 6, 1967 in Boulder, Colorado. She moved to Alaska in 1991 and resided in Sterling.

She loved to walk the beaches for rocks and painting some of them for local Facebook rock groups.

"Lorie always gave without any thought of reward. She would go without to make sure you didn't. Lorie truly was a warm hearted, caring person who was loved and will be missed by many," her family wrote.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Marcrum.

Lorie is survived by her husband, Eric Teed of Sterling; her father, James Marcrum of Turlock, California; daughter, Monica Hartness; granddaughter, Lorie Hartness; and grandson, James Hartness, all of Soldotna; son, Bryan Teed of San Pablo, California; granddaughter, Kaylee Teed of Savannah, Georgia; brothers, Brian Marcrum of California, Maryland, Randy Marcrum of Nikiski, and Mike Marcrum of Turlock, California; sisters, Rhonda Marcrum of Kenai, and Sherri White of Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Arrangements were by Peninsula Memorial Chapel in Kenai.
