Marie Fero Williams, surrounded by her loving family, passed into her Lord's arms on March 7, 2013 in Bentonville, Ark., at the age of 73.
The Guest Book is expired.
Marie was a devout Christian throughout her life, receiving the Lord into her heart as a teenager while attending the Baptist church in Bradford, N.Y.
Marie was born Oct. 29, 1939 in Corning, N.Y. After completing her nursing degree at Rochester General Hospital in Rochester, N.Y., she relocated to California where she met her husband-to-be, Derick Williams.
Soon after marrying, Marie and Derick made their home, for the next 30 years, in Alaska. Marie was a stay-at-home mom to their three children as Derick worked for the Chevron Oil Company in Kenai.
Upon retiring, they moved to Washington state, then to Texas, and back to Washington where they remained. In 2012, Marie made her final relocation to Bentonville to be near her daughter.
Marie was predeceased by her husband Derick Williams, parents Howard and Louise McCaig Fero, her oldest sister Norma Fero Novak and brothers-in-law Harold Shank, Mert Novak and Bob Lewis.
She is survived by her daughter Michele (Perry) Doles of Arkansas, sons Jered Williams of Arkansas and Phillip (Elisha) Williams of Washington, along with eight grandchildren who adored her; her sisters Pat Fero Shank of Virginia, Betty Fero Lewis of Arizona, Kay Fero Hampton of New York and her brother Carl (Sheila) Fero of New York; her mother-in-law Patricia Williams of Anchorage, sister-in-law Pat Erickson of Anchorage; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Marie loved to read (especially her Bible) and was very active in her church. Throughout her life she was totally devoted to her Lord, her children and her grandchildren. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
Interment will be held in Alaska at a later date.
