Longtime Alaska resident Patricia Lee Kennedy, 77, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2017 at Providence Alaska Medical Center, surrounded by her beloved family.

Per her wishes, Legacy Funeral Homes Keihl's Chapel will cremate her body and there will be no service.

Mrs. Kennedy was born August 7, 1940 in Los Angeles, California. Her parents were William and Dorothy Holloway. She married Wesley M. Kennedy Jr.

She and her family moved up to Soldotna, Alaska in June of 1968 where they lived until moving to Sterling and then eventually back to Soldotna. Her last years were located in Anchorage so she could, "help raise the grandkids there".

Throughout her life and definitely in retirement, she loved nothing more than going to watch her family play sports, while being their biggest fan. Her voice was distinct and always supportive, not only to her own kids, but also to all of the other kids she knew, loved and encouraged. "Grandma Pat" as she was called, will certainly be missed on the ball fields and at courtside.
One of her special moments was when her biological sister, Betty reunited with her after 65 years of being separated. Her proudest treasures were her 7 grandchildren.

She is survived by her four children and their families, son John and wife Lin Kennedy of Soldotna, son Rick and wife Yvonne Kennedy of Soldotna, son Scott Kennedy of Anchorage and daughter Erin and husband Bob Andresen of Anchorage. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Jeff and Christa Kennedy, Erik, Amy and Jake Andresen, Cheyenne Kennedy and Cydney Norberg . Special Family Friends, Rhonda Needs, the McCown Family, Guy and Judy Hayes, Nieces Linda Brown and Pam

She was preceded in death by her parents William and Dorothy Holloway, Sisters Barbara Dehnen, and Betty Wyand.
