Patty lived in Soldotna "on and off" from 1980 to 2008. She first worked at the Riverside House in the early 1980s and was a famous "Kitchenette Singer" as well as a Master Chef. Patty returned to Soldotna in 1998 and joined "her family at BJ's" for many years of fun and memories. Also known as the Soup Angel, daily, she fed those in need of a meal. Her smile was contagious and her personality was the very best. Patty simply "Loved Life"!
In 2008 Patty followed her son Shaun to San Angelo, Texas to be close to family. Patty enjoyed a huge extended family with many friends in Alaska, Salt Lake City, California and Texas. If you knew Patty, you liked Patty. Patty will be missed by so many. Her brothers John of Virginia, Bobby of Las Vegas and her sisters Mary and Peggy in California. Her son, Shaun Crawford, and daughter in law, Nancy, and Granddaughter Lyla will suffer the biggest loss. Patty looked so forward to a great life as a "Granny"! Dreams cut short.
A "woman who loved to fish," Patty has missed "fishing the Kenai" the last five years. Her family writes, "Now, she'll always be with us 'fishing the Kenai' once again. We know Patty is where the fish are always biting and Grandmas and Grandkids always have 'FUN!'"
