R. Kevin Rainey Obituary

R. Kevin Rainey, age 54, of Kenai, formerly of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 after a hard-fought 8-month battle with cancer.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Soldotna Bible Chapel, 300 West Marydale Avenue in Soldotna.
Kevin was born in Phoenix and graduated from Camelback High School.
He was an avid fisherman, hiker, coached Pop Warner football and was a loyal Cardinals fan.
Kevin worked for Enstar Natural Gas in Soldotna for 22 years.
Kevin is survived by his wife of 29 years, Cindy; sons, Ronnie of Kenai and Cory of Portland, Oregon; mother, Gerre Arnold (Clemie) of Litchfield Park, Arizona; father, Ron Rainey (Elaine) of Kenai; brother, Les of Peoria, Arizona; and nephews Jack and Austin Rainey.

I never knew Kevin Rainey personally but had the honor of resting on this bench, dedicated to him, on White Tank Mountain while hiking yesterday. I decided to look into the man he was and I am so sorry for your loss. Godspeed sir!
