Robert "Bob" Solon Wood

Robert "Bob" Solon Wood, 63, a long time resident of Soldotna, Alaska, died July 17, 2018, along in his apartment in Ninilchik,Alaska.

He was born to Edna Betty (Harman Wood) Turner and Farlin Lamar Wood in Provo, Utah. Bob graduated high school inSpringville, Utah, and served four years in the Air Force where he began his career as a diesel mechanic. From building gliderkits for Stout. Corp. to the master mechanic at Peak Oilfield Services, then rig mechanic for Inlet Drilling and All AmericanDrilling. Bob was loved by many and highly respected in his trade. Bob loved fishing, hunting, camping, cooking and riding hismotorcycle. But above all, he loved his family and friends.

Bob had no children of his own but was a father to many. He is survived by his mother Edna Betty Turner of St. George, Utah,two bothers Lynn Farlin Wood and Gregory Harman Wood of Lake Havasu City, Arizona and three sisters Deborah WoodRichmond of St. George, Utah, Samantha Ann Johnson of Tooele, Utah, Tracy Diane Steward of Salt Lake City, Utah. As well asnine nieces and nephews and eight grand nieces and nephews.

There will be a celebration of life at the Vagabond in Soldotna, Alaska from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 26. Funeralservices will be held at a later date in St. George, Utah. Please call Greg (907)252-7444 for more information.
