Vivian Raymond quietly passed away from the effects of Leukemia at her home in Port Townsend, Wash. on May 30, 2013. She was 83.
Vivian was born July 15, 1929 near Macomb, Ill to Mabel and Orville Geltmacher. She married her high school love Sol Raymond in 1947 and they spent 66 wonderful years together until his death earlier in May.
In 1951 the couple relocated to Southern California where they lived until 1968 when they moved to Kenai, Alaska. They lived in Kenai for about 25 years and then retired to Port Townsend.
She enjoyed spending her time cooking, sewing, doing puzzles and reading.
Mrs. Raymond is survived by her sisters Opal Heierle, Helen Young Glenn and Wilma Ren all of Illinois; daughter Susan; sons Mike, Mark, and Matt; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
No services are planned. Vivian and Sol's ashes will be scattered together at a later date. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Port Townsend Aero Museum or the in her memory.
