Sandy Jones, 64, of Soldotna passed away Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Central Peninsula Hospital in Soldotna.

She was born Saturday, March 11, 1950 in Stockton, California to Vern and Connie Jones.
Sandy moved to Alaska in 1976 and worked for the community with the Kenai Peninsula Borough. She was also the co-owner of Alaskan Counterfitters.
Sandy was an amazing mother, always putting her children first. She was an amazing cook and very passionate about her Harlequin Great Danes, spending many happy hours working with and showing them after her retirement. She truly loved living the "Alaskan Lifestyle" and thoroughly enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Sandy was preceded in death by her grandparents.
She is survived by her son, Matthew Lonch and wife, Desirae of Soldotna; daughter, Kacie Natal and husband, Efraim of Anchorage; parents, Vern and Connie Jones of Yuba City, California; cousin, Paritem Poonian of Tiburon, California; three grandchildren and many distant relatives.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help (222 W. Redoubt Ave. Soldotna), with a reception to follow in the O'Neill Hall.
