Cooper was born October 22, 2012 in Anchorage, Alaska. He loved sucking his thumb, chasing and wrestling his brothers and coloring on himself while laughing.
The family wrote, "Cooper was the happiest baby ever! He loved playing with his 3 big brothers. Every night he would find his thumb, find his blankie, and play peek-a-boo with mom and dad. He laughed at just about every sound. He mastered the stairs and chasing Corey and Zeek the dog. He gave the best kisses ever, sometimes followed by a bite. (He was a good kisser and a biter). Cooper had a signature run and could swing his arm like nobody's business. This baby had some dance moves too. Cooper was loved dearly by his family and friends and will always be missed."
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Taylor and Beulah Alkire and Peanut Rice.
He is survived by his parents, Ryan and Wendy Rice of Soldotna; brothers, Keith, Kyle, and Corey Rice all of Soldotna; grandparents, Ronnie and Ronda Rice of Salina, OK, Doug and Katie Guthals of Nathrop, CO and Linda Guthals of Gower, MO.
