Bethany was born May 22, 1989 in Thousand Oaks, Calif. She was full of life from day one. With her joyful attitude she made friends easily everywhere she went. She loved children, loved to read and had a fantastic sense of humor. She was scrupulously honest, to the point, and insightful beyond her years.
At 17 she earned her black belt in Taekwondo at the Tae Ryong Studio in Camarillo, Calif. She worked with Child Evangelism Fellowship for several years bringing the Gospel to Children around the world.
Bethany always wanted to be a wife and a mother. On Aug. 14, 2010 she became a wife to Ben Widman and on Sept. 4, 2012 she became a mommy to Coralie Elisabeth.
Bethany's life was grounded in the Word of God and her relationship with Jesus Christ. Her sure belief in Jesus as Lord and Savior gave her the strength to live in joy during her life on earth and the assurance of a home in heaven after this life.
She is survived by her husband Ben Widman; her daughter Coralie; her parents, Carl and Karen Ward Jr.; her brother, John Allen Ward; paternal grandparents, Patsy Barns and Jean Ward; maternal grandparents, Linda and Ron Anderson and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She is preceded in death by maternal grandmother Dorothy Crane and paternal grandfathers, Carl Ward Sr. and Norris Barns.
Arrangements under the direction of Fairbanks Funeral Home.
