Soldotna resident, Mr. Lonnie L. White, 56, died Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at Central Peninsula Hospital in Soldotna.
There was a change in the funeral services location. Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Soldotna Church of God, 105 W. Redoubt Ave in Soldotna. A public viewing will be held one hour prior to services at 3 p.m. at the church. Following the service Lonnie will be laid to rest at the Kenai City Cemetery in Kenai. Pastor Alan Humphries will be officiating.
Mr. White was born July 27, 1956 in Idaho. He graduated from high school and continued his education by attending a few years of college. Lonnie served in the U.S. Army for many years before being honorably discharged.
Lonnie was a talented and very accomplished man. He was a dedicated Military man, police officer and minister. Lonnie's love of God, family and the great outdoors carried him through life. He was an Army Ranger Sniper, State Trooper, EMT and firefighter, and hunting and fishing guide. Lonnie's passion for life, spirit and guidance remains with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernie and Norma White, and sister, Tracy Sisson.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie White; children, Goldie Owens and husband Jeff and their boys, Alex and Sam, Jason Medcoff and his wife, Char and their kids, Donivan and Trysten, Kate Williams and husband, Matt and their boys, Devon and Leeland, and Chelsea White and her son, Logan Winn; siblings, Nan Weaver and her husband, Alan and their kids, Wayne and Christy, Robert White and his children, Andrew and Jennifer and Rebecca Hanson and her husband Tommy and their daughter Kayla; sister in-laws, Priscilla Uei and Marcy Wright; brother in-law, Ted Sisson; nephews, Timmy and Jeremy Uei and numerous nieces and nephews.
