Daniel Allan Drury of Port Angeles passed away on January 26, 2013, of pneumonia at the age of 57.
Dan was born on June 25, 1955, to Howard and Frances (Cussen) Drury. He attended Rainier School from 1960 to 1979.
In 1979, Dan moved to Bayview Inn in Olympia, Washington. He moved again in 1983 to Clallam County Hostelries in Port Angeles.
In Port Angeles, Dan started his own business, Dan the Man Paper Shredding. When Dan retired from his paper-shredding business, he took to riding along on drives all over the Peninsula, latte in hand, listening to his favorite music.
Dan made countless friends with various housemates and staff. He particularly loved to tease them.
Dan was also quite the bowler. He also participated in track with the Special Olympics
He was a homebody in his later years and always enjoyed drinking coffee.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Frances and Howard Drury.
He is survived by his brother, Bob (Genieve) Drury of McMinnville, Oregon; and sister Mary Drury of Las Vegas, Nevada.
Dan touched the lives of many and brought joy to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A celebration of his life will take place today, January 31, at 1 p.m. at 1132 Hazel Street, Port Angeles, WA 98363.
