Darlene (Walker) Ford of Port Angeles passed away at Olympic Medical Center in Port Angeles on March 25, 2014, at the age of 87.
She was born in Port Angeles on July 12, 1926, to Ermal Theodore and Estella Adella (Vernon) Walker.
She graduated with the Roosevelt High School Class of 1945.
She worked at Safeway and Montgomery Ward of Port Angeles.
She married Glen P. Quinn of Sequim in 1949, and the pair divorced in 1956.
In 1965, she was married for a second time, to Donald R. Ford of Denver, Colorado.
She liked animals and frequently took her donkeys and horses packing into the mountains. She was a gardener and loved music and dancing.
She was a member of the Clallam County Historical and Genealogical societies since 1981.
She leaves behind her loving husband, Donald R. Ford of Port Angeles; daughters Patricia D. (Roger) Young of Port Angeles and Debra J. Fischer of Bainbridge Island; grandchildren Roger A. Young of Seattle, Washington, Raena A. Young of Port Angeles, Ryan A. Young of Port Angeles, Le Andre Fischer and Elyse Fischer, both of Bainbridge Island, Laura Samperi-Ferdig of Oceanside, California, and Talia Adams of Sequim; and great-grandchildren Demitrius Young, Bella Smith, Lucia S. Young, Sawyer K. Martin, Hayden and Hudson Nease, and James Ferdig of Oceanside, California.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Susan D. (Quinn) Sampari.
